No Voltage to Windshield Washer Pump?
No Voltage to Windshield Washer Pump?
This is my first thread as a new G35 owner, but I'm no newbie to forums nor the automotive world. So before the traditional flames ... I DID search!
I'm not getting any spray from my windshield washers, I first checked for clogged nozzles and the common "Battery Sitting on Hose and Pinching" problem. Both good. I then checked the pump and was getting no buzz/humm. I removed the pump and tested in on a good 12V source with positive result.
So I hooked the Voltmeter to the Pink and Orange Wires feeding the Pump ... NO Voltage (from either). I am also not getting a direct signal to ground through either wire.
Is there a fuse for the pump? Anyone have a wiring diagram to show this circuit?
P.S. New baby forced me to swap the Mustang for a G35 Sedan ... and I'm loving the G's ride quality! Glad the BMW 330 I almost bought fell through!

Sure there's a fuse. For '05/'06 it's #84 in the IPDM (behind the battery). And it looks like + voltage should always be at the pump while the ground is switched by the "combination switch" (wiper / washer control). If you have a different year there are very helpful service manuals here:
