HVAC problem

My MAF sensor rubbed a hole in the high pressure Freon line of the AC. Did a redneck fix with some special EXXON epoxy and some stainless wire. Worked like a charm. HOWEVER, now that I have the AC working, there is not heat to mix and control the temp. Any ideas where to start?

You need to vacuum and recharge the system with refrigerant. (actually, you first test to see if you fixed the leak) If you don't own a pump and manifold gauge set, it will be cheaper to just have it done at your local shop.

had it done by a reputable shop already. The AC works, not the heat.

Did you have to remove anything to fix the A/C leak? Sounds like something might have gotten knocked loose like a connector? Other than that heat normally works in one of two ways. One, there are air damper doors that open dependent on the request position of the heat switch, the other is a control valve that allows "x" amount of hot water into the system dependent on the switch. I have never dived into the system on the G35 yet, so I can't say which one it is.
