ok, so I finally decided to address the recall on my 05 Coupe because the blinking light on dash was getting to me.

first let me say that I hate going to the dealership and do not even want them touching my car, but guess I had no choice for a recall.

of course when I get there they tell me that the whole wiring harness needs to be replaced because of the Turbo XS UTEC piggyback computer has caused the issues. just told them to give me back the car and not touch anything.

went to my indy mechanic for some fluid swaps and they ran the codes:

B1130, B1135, B1146, B1151, B1132

all pertaining to the front/side airbags.

I know this has nothing to do with the UTEC install as it was done years before the air bag light began to blink. had no issues for years.

only have one dealership near by and I am sure if I go to another, I will run into the same issues. they just do not want to deal with any car with slight modifications...understood.

anyone have any idea how I can get this fixed? is it any easy fix? could my indy handle it?

does not appear to be cause any issues with the performance of the car since it has been running this way for years. the shop foreman at the dealership also told me that there would be no problems that would affect the car.

ok, confirmed with Infiniti that they will not touch car until returned to stock.

anyway around having to remove my UTEC and still be able to address recall item?

any help is greatly appreciated.
