Exterior light issue please help 04 g35x
I am a newbie and just picked up a 2004 g35x about a week ago. I am hoping some people on here can help me out with a few issues I have. I live in pa and need to get it inspected so I need all the lights working ect.
So here is the deal:
High beams work but fogs do not.. I thought they were the same bulb so could it be a fuse or something like that?
My front side marker lights also do not work but that could be the bulb because I haven't checked but I was wondering if people ever have had any fuse issues or anything else with the front side marker lights.
My mechanic told me that I am supposed to have day time running lights? I didn't know that they 04 g35 had day time running lights. Do they and where would they be?
My mechanic also said that I need a front right lower control arm and a left rear wheel bearing. Has anyone had any experience changing these out and how difficult are they?
Any feedback will help!
Thanks

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new ride.
There are two sets of service manuals for the '04 sedan posted here (thanks to NICO club):
http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/G35/Sedan/2004/
and
http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/G35/Sedan/2004.5_G35_Sedan/
(or if it's a coupe: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/G35/Coupe/2004/ )
Don't know what changed mid-year for the sedan but it could have effected the lighting so you should figure out which set of manuals apples to your car - or just check out both and see what makes sense. The "lt.pdf" is the lighting section. Daytime running lights are on Canadian cars only, and that part alone relies on about 15 fuses to work properly.
Fog lights are the 2nd filament of the high-beam halogen bulb and do have their own fuse.
Read up and see if you can figure out the problem.

Yeah, I actually have the manual that came with the car when it was new. I guess ill be trying to mess with the fuses this weekend to see if I can figure out the fog light issue. Thanks for the input
