Tested: Clutch Pedal Heavier than it Should Be. Help!?

This is my first forum post after just acquiring an 04 MT sedan. I love the car and have already started sourcing parts based on my research of this forum which is an amazing!

My issue is that my clutch pedal is feels much heavier when compared to my uncle's '03 350Z. Funny thing is that he feels like his clutch is going out b/c in neutral, he can hear some grinding noises. I hear no such noises (this is odd b/c his Z only has 20K miles on it though and my G has 87K.)

Does anything know if clutches get heavier over time? Or if I there's a clutch spring or another part of the mechanism that can be causing this?

Thanks in advance for the Noob support!!!

Cheers, Bret (San Francisco)

BUMP. Come on guys! I know I'm a noob on this site, but I did some heavy searching prior to posting this. Is there anyone here with a MT that has any experience with heavy pedal and a fix for it?

My mechanic even told me that the clutch itself feels solid, but that they were heavy in these cars (compared to my last cars, BMW 330ZHP MT, VW GTI MT). I would have not had brought this to the table had I not tried the MT in my Uncle's Z.

Please help. Either that or LMK if I'm leaving this in the wrong forum area.

THANKS!
