Car revs being limited to 3500 rpm in 2nd or 3rd gear?
Hey guys, my car is doing something weird. Back story is I dropped it off for some body work, and when I went to pick it up yesterday they took me aside and said my car was having problems. Now the car seems to make it to 2nd or 3rd gear and the revs are bouncing like they are limited at 3200-3500 rpm. It won't go past it no matter what. The ECU was reset via negative battery terminal which cleared the codes before I got there (not helpful wish they didn't do that). Tomorrow I have to try and find someone to read the codes to diagnose the issue. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I'm going to replace both cam sensors tomorrow to see if that gets it going again. I had an issue with one not long ago but only replace the one. It has been a while though and I can't remember exactly.

Transmission is reporting codes P1815 and U1000 and the trans is not shifting well at all, it's completely off. Unfortunately for me I think they might have had a joy ride in my car...
EDIT: I did find out a guy who drove my car said to another guy he had a "good time".

Update... going to try addressing the codes above finally. Could my lack of power, difficulty accelerating, and rattling be caused by the following?
P1815 - Seems to be saying that I need to replace my shifter assembly.
U1000 - Seems to be saying that I have bad grounds somewhere.
Could someone driving the car in manual mode "hard" cause the shifter assembly to cause all the other issues? I'm wondering if there is communications problems between the parts putting the drivetrain under extra stress and maybe causing my timing chain to rattle?

Jeeeeeez, that pisses me off and it isn't my car. Put it in valet mode next time you leave it at a shop. He really screwed your month up. I have no experience with those particular codes but I hope you get some sort of revenge on that guy.
