Power Steering Leak - Pictures inside

I've had this leak for about a month now I believe and I'm trying to figure out where it's coming from. I need to top up the fluid maybe once a week if not less, but it's all over the skid plate on the bottom.

I think I have found the problem, maybe you guys can give me some guidance. The leak is on the front passenger side and I've included some pictures of where I think it is. It looks like the one hose clamp is a lot higher than the other and got pushed up by something... or it could be the little piece in the middle of the tubing that could be causing the issue as well.

Let me know what you think.

idk man, it kinda looks like u need a new PS hose. it looks like its leaking right where the clamp is. maybe its not circulating...perhaps when u drive it swells up and leaks..maybe u can cut off that piece where it were normally clamped and re-clamp it

Where could I get power steering hose for the g35? Also is this a high pressure hose? It does look like the hose is in some rough shape...

ur right, i just looked at it closely... i think u can just buy a hose.. like maybe 1-2 feet hose.. and replace it with ease... its prob like 5-10 bucks. they normally have a roll. and just cut u off a piece

Right but what's the plastic part inbetween? It goes from a larger hose to a smaller hose and clamps onto a piece near the front. It transfers from larger to smaller? Is it under a large amount of pressure? Is there anything that I should be worried about?

I recommend that you use a pair of pliers to release that clamp, push the hose further onto the nipple/hard pipe, then clamp the hose back down. Clean the area thoroughly and keep an eye out for signs of continued leaking. Its hard to tell where a leak is coming from if you don't keep things clean.

Also, please don't create multiple threads on the same topic.

That's a good idea, I'll try that first. Thank you.

I think I posted this in the wrong section, so I reposted in another where I thought it was more appropriate, I apologize.

How would you clean this off? Engine degreaser? It seems to be extremely oily and difficult to clean.

Thank you both for your help.

No worries. Some folks use simple green to cut through the grease, but soapy water and elbow grease are really all that you need.

Okay I'll try this out tomorrow and report back the results.

Thank you both once again.
