OEM 2003-2005 headlights fit 2007 G35???

OEM 2003-2005 headlights fit 2007 G35???
I think I bought the wrong year headlights from a guy cause I realized now that the 2007 (my cars year) has projector headlights??
The ones I have have like a octagon looking plastic bit on them.
The cars wiring harness has been cut for some reason I tried soldering the older headlights on to the 07's wiring setup and all that worked was the turn signals. Also from the cars wiring harness I believe I had two extra cords compared to the headlight plug in wiring.
Sorry if some of this doesn't make sense, writing this out quick cause I'm at work xD
