Bolting differnt sized flanges together.

Hello fellow g35 drivers, I have recently aquired a new motordyne xyz pipe with the hfc peice at a decent discounted price. Now I already have the magnaflow cat back exhuast system which is 2.5 inch piping from the flange. Now with the motordyne xyz it is a 3 inch exit from the hfc, my question is will it be alright to bolt the 2.5 flange to the 3 inch flange? If so will i encounter any problems with rattling or rasp, will it even work?

You will need a reducing flange or the airflow will be so screwed up you would be better with the stock pipe. Highly recommend just getting the correct sections for it to bolt to.
