2007 g35

Trying to diagnose this issue. I have a g35 2007 Infiniti v6 journey and I was driving on the road and heard a sudden bang come from the front I thought it was something I might have run over on the road but I took a look under my car and oil was dripping. The car is not driveable so I called a tow truck and as he was towing it onto his truck it leaked all of the oil from the engine. All of the oil is gone. What could be the problem? Engine related I'm guessing but I'm not too experienced can anyone direct me to the right direction to check first?

Gonna need to clean all the oil up and start taking a look to see the damaged area.

If your car is a AWD it's probably what happened to my 05' G35x. Front driveshaft Ujoint failed and locked up the front Diff then cracked your lower engine oil pan. It also cracked my transmission bellhouse. That's how I picked up the car for $500, the shop the guy had it at said he wouldn't fix it and would cost more than the car booked for. DIY price was about $500 in parts and a couple weeks or labor in the garage.

If it's RWD sounds like a rod went through the block ...... Or like you said maybe you hit something that punctured the oil pan...
