GPS screen
Ok, I’m new to this forum.
I recently bought an oem navigation screen for my 2004 g35( which already support the navigation system)
but when I plug in everything the screen doesn’t turn on but I can hear the DVD player running so I think it’s something with the wiring of the screen but I have no idea and I need some helppp

The navigation screen was gone when I bought the car. Everything else was there it just doesn’t look right with a big ol gap right there

So before you do this, make sure you acquire the radio brackets from a non nav G radio. It looks this way because I believe my installer guy had to drill holes in my original bracket since the holes didn't line up right. I remember having the part number saved somewhere but can't find it right now. I had to end up buying an entire radio assembly on ebay for just the brackets. So you're best bet would be looking for junkyard G's and see if they will part with just the brackets... (most don't want to would rather sell the whole unit)

I guess the radio bracket is different on the 05-07 radio with nav. On my 04 with nav, I just took the screen out and nav buttons off 2 Phillip's, iirc) and used those screws to put a non nav dash pocket/cubby in. It fit the brackets with no additional work and lined up like OEM. Also gutted the dvd from upper glove box and put the storage insert in from a non nav coupe. Not much real estate gained, but I cut a small hole and used a rubber grommet to pass through my amp's control panel on a hinge, so I can keep my wheel lock and a flashlight behind it in the little storage spot.
