Did you have the coil packs unplugged? It's easy to get two of the harnesses mixed up.

Did you use an OEM genuine Nissan cam sensor, or a Hitachi one (Hitachi was the OEM manufacturer). These cars are widely known to not work properly with any aftermarket sensors.

no i haven’t unplugged any of the coils, no the sensor i went back with was neither oem or hitachi so im wandering if that actually the issue, i have heard from multiple people that for what ever reason these cars respond better to oem or hitachi hands down better than anything else which is silly sounding to me cause the “sensor” does the same function regardless of manufacturer lol

Thats also what I thought at first and went with a generic sensor. I found out the hard way thats its true lol.

The sensors are not all made the same is the issue, my guess is they use fewer windings on a lot of aftermarket hall effect sensors which throws the voltage off just slightly and the Nissan ECM's don't like that.

so, i have tried everything to get this car running again, the only thing i haven’t tried is replacing the new cam sensor i put in with new hitatchi sensor, but could that really be the issue here..?

Its possible. A bad sensor is basically like having no sensor. And if the ECU cant get the reading then its never gonna start or run right.

Go with an OEM or Hitachi sensor. (Dont buy off ebay…there are a LOT of fakes that claim theyre OEM. They even come with original Nissan packaging.

Sounds like you might need to test for fuel pressure as well, there isn't a service port on the engine so you need to add one. Z1 Motorsports makes a "VQ fuel port" sandwich adapter that goes between the rail and the damper on the right side of the engine, easy install.

Are you sure it has enough fuel? Did you visually check fuel level while the pump was out?

when i had the fuel pump out i did check the fuel, probably had about a quarter tank in it so i added about 10 gallons to it, i wanted to make sure that fuel level wasnt the issue lol…im ganna look about a fuel service port cause that will really be the only thing i havent checked, this car is giving me a fit lol

Z1 sells one you can put right underneath the fuel damper. I put it on my car and it's pretty nice to be able to hook up a gauge real quick.

Did you do the starting fluid or carb cleaner test? Try running it with an alternate fuel source and did you check the original camshaft you took out to make sure it's actually bad? You'd need an oscilloscope to get the correct reading, but I think you can do some resistance checks on it.
