Dashboard lights completely out

So I bought my Infinity G35X second hand, and it had been sitting up awhile. It was having problems running hot, finally got that fixed but then it started having this issue: when the doors were open, the interior lights would flash quickly and you can hear a fast, faint clicking sound. Close the doors, the interior lights would stop flashing but the clicking sound stayed. This would happen off and on at first but then became a constant. Then one night, the entire dash went black and hasn’t come back on since.
The car still starts, you can still hear the faint quick click sound. The clicking appears to be coming from somewhere under the steering wheel.
ANY ideas on what could be causing this?

I changed out the alternator, didn’t help with the issue. Checked all the fuses, they are good!
Any help would be appreciated! I’d love to get it on the road!!!

My guess is you have a wire shorting out inside the door, likely culprit is the flexible accordion section where the door harness connects to the chassis.

Possibly also the car is leaking water, sunroof drain is somewhat common. This gets the BCM wet which causes all manner of problems, possibly also the cowl drain which allows water to pour onto the IPDM engine bay fuse box.
