Bad bcm
Bad bcm
I have a 2007 g35s sedan and I have a water corroded bcm. I have a parts car and but it’s not a sport. I was wondering if I could switch the bcms and everything work. If not is there any good places I could send mine to be repaired or is it best to let the dealer do it.
Yes but it will still need to be programmed by the dealership, otherwise the car will not start, it's not a plug and play thing. Typically you schedule ahead with the dealership and tell them exactly what you're doing. Then you drive to the dealership, disconnect the battery, pump the brakes, swap the BCM in the parking lot, plug the battery back in.
Make sure to park where they tell you, usually they'll have you park in the shade somewhere since they'll have to go to the car with their Consult-II / III computer to program it again.
