one i inherited from my gramps..old school snap on. a couple my dad never uses, so they're mines. and one i bought.

im also getting rid of a couple of tool boxes. one's a crapsman and the other an old snapon one. trying to clear up some space.

**** I invested 32,000 into my tools not including my 7,000 tool box. I'm pretty sick about it now that I dont have a car the require fixing and I no longer work at BMW and I only can sell it for 2/3 the price I paid for all my **** when they are pretty much all brand new besides my socket sets, torx, and ratchets.

dunno really. lots of the tools were inheritence from my grandfather. he left me with 4 toolboxes, full of tools. he being a VW shop foreman pretty much all of his working career will get him that. lots of specialty tools from snap-on, mac, and craftsman as well as the standard tools. that's not including mines that i started on my own...if you ever drop by the house, you'll see what i'm talking about. trying to make room so i can install a hydralic siscor lift.

i hear you, my toolbox alone costed me over 4k - snapon, bought it used from one of my dads coworkers at tony honda. i checked it out on the snapon catalog, costs $8500 . my tools are a mix of snapon, mac, bluepoint, and motionpro, maybe a couple small crapsman stuff. i lost count on the cost, i would gather it tallys over 30k too.

I think they're investments, and have sentimental reasons...reason why i'm keeping my grandfathers tools. just need to get some of the tool boxes out of there.
