Good Places for Service?

Hey Guys,

The 03 coupe I picked up recently has this loud rattle coming from the back passenger side whenever I hit a bump. It had Tein Flexes installed when I picked it up. My friend and I tried raising it, and the clearance between the exhaust and rear suspension seems fine. We retorqued the shock back onto the chasis incase it was loose, same thing.

I'm getting desperate and will probably take the car to Infiniti of Honolulu this week for service. I was wondering if there are any other good shops to take a G to for service so I can try to avoid being raped by charges by the Infiniti dealer?

could be coil binding, or wrong rear spring preload and shock height combo.

When you removed and retorqued the rear shock, did you check and retorque the strut top bolt? Sometimes it gets loose and makes rattling or knocking noises, also worn out pillow ball mounts can cause a similar knocking noise.

Is there a way to reach the top strut bolt through the trunk? We ripped out all the interior lining and I couldn't find any access to the shock other than unbolting it from the bottom of the car...

there is no access panel to reach the top of the strut unless you make one yourself.
