We need a oem jack recall!

I was jacking up the G and then when the jack was close to the top, the thing just fvcking bent, and tipped over! thank god i had the wheels still on! the car, and jack where both on level ground in my garage. i really don't know how this could have happened, because everything was correctly done. just be careful with those damn scissor jacks!

heres the damage, sorry no picks of the gash and crack. but i was able to re-fiberglass everything and paint it. can't even tell anything happen.

What were you trying to do with it extended that high? Did you buy that floor jack after the stock one failed?

It's a standard Nissan jack. I've used mine to jack the G several times to replace summer wheels with winter wheels and it's never given me a problem. Sorry to hear....

hahaha. Get a serious jack if you need one. The one that comes with the car is only meant to be used to change a spare. Glad no serious damage was done.

Glad you and th4e G are okay. Did you have the jack on the jack points underneath the car. I've used my stock jack in a lot of places even on a sloped driveway (I know call me crazy) and haven't had any problems.

It probably slipped cuz it was on the sideskirt and not the proper location.... (just my guess)

If he had put it under his sideskirt he wouldn't have gotten to the top before causing some serious damage.

Yea, it wasn't on the side skirt, and it was in the correct jack stop, its not like it was my first time...

i was jacking it up so high because i was trying to get the jack stand under there, but it bent before it was even at that height.
