Aloha From A Long Time Lurker

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to say what's up and introduce myself. My name's Matt and I recently joined the G35 club after picking up my Black/Graphite '07 Sedan 6MT Premium about a week ago. I think I made my brother jealous as he was throwing the book at me about how his Bippu Y33 Q45 is still better than my car. But man this thing is a blast to drive. I don't want to sound like a spammer but I just wanted to let you guys know that I also work over at King Infiniti of Honolulu so if you folks have any questions, feel free to ask away. In any case, here's to another satisfied owner.

welcome to the club Matt. Probably seen you at the dealership when Mambo and Paul were taking care of me. You realize that getting the car is only the beginning...

I'm guessing that when you say "wong" at King Infiniti you mean "work." hahaha.

Seeing as the Coupe will be getting the same interior and optional equipment as the Sedan my guess is yes, it'll more than likely be functional in Hawaii. No promises, but I don't see why it wouldn't work here. However I'm guessing that the system will still trip over itself every now and then whenever it tries to pronounce some of our street names here in the 808. Kilihau becomes Kee-uh-LEEE-Haaa-ooooo. hahaha.

Just so you know though, they don't tell us jack at the dealership. Everything I know is strictly based on what I find online.

And as for when we're getting the Coupe, we just wrapped up our May orders last week and IIRC they allocated 3 (yes 3) Coupes to us. Apparently we don't get to order cars for customers with the first shipment and apparently the first shipment is very limited. That means if you're looking to spec a new Coupe for yourself, you'll be looking at ordering sometime in early June with your car arriving sometime in September. Weak sauce I know, but unfortunately I don't make the rules.

Glad to see another sedan owner and pluses for being a King Infiniti employee! Do you know if I can order Nismo parts through the parts department? I was interested in buying aero side sills that were optional on the 03 thru 04 G35 sedans.

Yup, that's my little bro. I told him anytime he's ready to come down and I'll hook him up, but him being into the whole Bippu/VIP scene he likes his big body late 90s Japanese sedans. If anything, a Y35 gen M45 (03-05) would be the best replacement for his Q if he ever decides to get rid of it. Either that or he can wait for the rumored 4th gen Q if and when it returns in a year or two. As for me, I've been working at King for about 2 months. And as for why I get a newer car? Because I'm big brother and big brother gets the nicer car. When I called him over to come see it he gave me the "mine has more room and is more luxurious and was the company's flagship" speech. I was like shaddap and get your car cleaned up so we can to take some pictures.

Good question. I'll ask my parts manager when he gets in today.

Just checked with my parts guy. Negatory on the NISMO parts through us at Infiniti, however he said you can try calling King Windward Nissan to see if they can help you out any. Sorry dude.
