hey guys,

i'm on vacation here in kona off alii dr. just looking for suggestions on good places to eat ono, traditional hawaiian cuisine, sushi, etc. also looking for good places to chill at the beach (snorkel, swim, etc).

any help is greatly appreciated!

i recommend you rent a car and drive the saddle road. i think thats what its called. absolutely amazing! i think you need a suv w/ 4wd though. just explore the real hawaii and stay away from all the tourist areas. hawaii has its own hidden culture and its own identity.

hmm. Check out the luau show at King Kam Hotel for hawaiian food.

as far as the beach...yeah you need at least a jeep..lot's of off road trails. ask someone where Cinder Hill is.. between waikoloa and kona town. nice beaches behind there..
