to FI or not to FI

Thinking about going turbo or s/c but not sure if its worth it. it would be nice but I don't know how practical it is being we dont have a track and theres no place to test it out.

or maybe just add a few more N/A mods and a tune and make it look good?

just looking for some opinions on what you all think about it and if its even worth that kind of money?

I can see how without a track a TT may seem impractical, but turbo is whole new world compared to N/A. To me you'll never get that slam you back in the seat feeling with our cars sticking to N/A mods. Just make sure you get someone good to install it and tune it. Another thing that you might want to consider too is that gas prices are super high now and will only get higher. Boosting is not gonna help your wallet as far as gas goes.

yea true that hurts it also. forgot about that. I used to have a supercharged maxima I built before so thats why I miss FI. but youre right. gas is becoming a killer nowdays. miss those days though =) 400+hp maxima was a fun car.

I did my kit before I moved to Hawaii looking forward to running it on the track. 3 months after arriving, the track closed. I love the power but I don't think I would do it if I knew how little I would be enjoying it.

I think I average around 15. Most of my driving is pretty efficient. I think I go through 5 traffic lights on my commute to work.

It's far from being built but, It's still being planned. There's has been some discrepancies about how the layout was and there will be some studies to satisfy some of the sensitive issues around that area.

yeah....true...but from my understanding, it IS coming....that's all that matters to me. It might take time, but it'll be worth it....even with no drag strip portion from what I am hearing

Yea i also heard theres no strip. Thats disappointing. 15 mpg is pretty bad. Would be worse for me with a long commute in traffic.

Before FI I averaged 21 mpg, post TT install I average about 20 mpg.........not too bad for an extra 130 hp or so.

Now that I'm back I checked again and I'm getting 18-20mpg. It had been a while since the last time I had driven or put gas in my G.
