Optima Battery Dealer on Oahu?

Anyone know who carries Optimas on the island?

My Die Hard died so I want to replace it with a Yellow Top and I don't have the days to wait for an online joint. $60 to ship isn't cool either.

Thanks.

Interstate in Waipahu on Leokane Street. If they don't have the reverse yellow top in stock you can try some stereo shops.

I hate Optima batteries...have had 3 blow up on me so far out of 3 owned....never again.....mind you, they were red tops, but still....good luck finding one. I have one in my garage...haven't even checked if it works...i'll see after work though and let you know (it's a yellow top). I'll be damned if I'm gonna use it.

costco...i got a red top there, no problems with how it works...just had to modify the power wire a little for fitment...works great for me.

i forget how much it cost, was kinda cheap though...if you bring your old battery to them you get 5 dollars back (they add five dollars onto the cost of the battery automatically, it's bogus and i don't know why they do it)

Thanks for the replies. I'll check out Interstate and some stereo shops.

Sorry to hear you've had bad experiences with them. LMK about the one you have though.

I heard about Costco but they only have red and I need yellow for what I'll be doing....audio/video.

Ron's has them. I believe they have the reverse post ones that G35 requires. Last time I checked, they had them, which was a couple of weeks ago.

I hit up an audio shop on Kam, don't know the name but they had them in stock. I couldn't wait to make sure that's what was wrong with my car. I gutted it last Monday and re-wired and added some things. I thought for sure I blew something when my car wouldn't crank this weekend.

Battery was the ticket. I was sweatin bullets for a couple of days.

for future reference costco does have red and yellow tops...the blue one, not too sure. i could be wrong but i think the red top was 129? and the yellow 169? something like that give or take 10 bucks.

only fitment issue is the positive and negative is on the opposite side so you gotta loosen some of the clamps holding the power cable down. mines fit ok after the adjustment.

We decided to keep it, and it's undergoing it's intended changes. Just taking my time with the install and making things startoff the right way.

The 35 model has reverse posts for cars like ours. There is a spacer available to bring it back to stock height since it's about an inch shorter. I just cut a piece of 1" plywood to fit the tray and it's back to stock height, tiedown bar and all.

yeah, i used the spacer that it came with and got the battery tie down on there...everything fits just the way it is supposed to only had to give some slack to the power cable because i didn't get the model with the reverse post...they didn't have any. fits good though...the only issue that i could really see is if i needed to connect jumpers, i would have to remove the plastic battery cover because the terminals are now more towards the firewall, the cover comes off pretty easy though.

Oh, I see what you're saying. I thought you had extended and crossed your wires but you just flipped it around. That wouldn't be too bad if you had to jump it, it's only like 4 of those plastic rivets.
