100 octane fuel...
ot really, but if you use High Octane Fuel, make sure it's "Unleaded" and not "Leaded Only" As the Leaded fuel usuaally messes up your Stock 02 Sensors. I used to use racing gas in my Stang, when we used to have a track, and When I used Leaded racing fuel, it messed up my 02 sensors. But usually use Higher Octane fuel if you Increase the Timning in the Motor and so on,...Would not really make any diffrence I don't think on our Stock G motor, unless you got an ECU reflash that recommends you use Higher Octane for the Tune you have.

if you want something similar to race gas..by a 5 gal. drum of xylene from sherwin williams, buy a quart of marvel's mystery oil from longs or rons and pour in 5 ounces of mm oil into the xylene and mix it around in the drum. then drive to the gas station with your drum of xylene, pour in all the xylene into your gas tank and top it off with 92 octane.
I used to do this all the time with my turbo buick and it was way cheaper than running unocal's 100 octane. the ratio between gas and xylene gave a rating of appx 110 octane. since the G35 tank is 5 gal bigger than my old buick, i would guess the ratio would make about 100 octane. although it is 100 octane, the oxygenation between the actual race gas and this home brew are night and day. still it was more than enough to buffer any knock in my old buick...this was with 21psi of boost and making over 450whp and 500ftlbs...man i miss that car.
xylene is totally safe, it is the key ingredient in most octane boosters off the shelf.
