kapiolani blvd gets my vote. I always try to avoid that mess. seems like they will never finish working on it. must have some people trying to put their kids through private school, college, med school....

My top three roads, at least that I've experienced.
1. Beretania (between University and Alapai) - When was the last time they paved that section? I drive that every morning and always dodging potholes, depressions and cracks, especially that deep pothole right at the intersection of Beretania and Pensacola!
2. Ward Ave (between Prospect and Ala Moana Blvd.) going Maikai. - They should repave all of Ward Ave., even between King and Kapiolani. Coming down from Prospect is horrible. After Kapiolani can be bad too in the right lane.
3. Kalakaua (Between King and Kapiolani) going Mauka - Get all those tree roots that lift up the asphalt.
I don't understand how our roads can get so bad. From what I've seen, it appears that we don't compact the subgrade properly. What really gets me are when manholes are not at grade (not level with the asphalt) so their covers are depressed below the asphalt. It's sometimes just as bad as hitting a pothole!
All roads should be smooth...period. It's a matter of safety.
