I got my bent rim repaired at revolution on ward. They did a good job, can't tell where it was. It did take around 3 days for them to do it though.

I nailed some monster pot hole at the beginning of the year and it actually bent the rim in two different locations on the inside. They were about 12" apart or so and was big enough to cause a slow leak. I had to fill the tire up every other day. They charged me $300, not cheap but a hella lot better then buying a new rim at $1000. needless to say, I'm scanning for those fricken holes now.

I live in California and bent my rim driving up to San Francisco from L.A. on the 5 freeway going to show at HIN San Mateo.

It got a slow leak and bent the rim on the inside edge.

I emailed and sent Caltrans (California Dept. of Transportation) a pix of my rim, the rough location of the pothole, and a copy of my $175 repair bill.

The state of California wrote me a check for the full amount of $175 because our tax dollars goes to maintaining the freeways.

Since I didn't have to buy another rim, I saved $1900.

Give that a try.

yeah well you see you live in California. Here in Hawaii they'd probably lose the receipt, cover the pothole and deny it.

^^ yeah either that or it would take a whole year to get your money... by then you probably forgot... though I did know someone I work with who did get money... they took the load of pics and sent it in.

Does anyone know where they do gold chroming?

Hawaii paying for damage to vehicles is like Infiniti paying for warranty work on a modded car.

I need to look into Moos.
