G35 Power locks fail!

Hey guys, my pasenger side power lock failed a month back. It doesn't lock/unlock using the key fob anymore. I got a quote from Infiniti for $450 to get it fixed. I just saved up some cash to get it done, and now the driver side failed! Damn, I can't see paying almost a grand for door locks! Anyone know a cheaper way to get these fixed? Would putting an aftermarket alarm system replace the stock door-lock mechanisms? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.

No, it won't. Aftermarket alarms run off of the stock actuators. Let me know if you find a good deal to fix this....my driver side is slowly going out..

Do a search in the tech section. There have been members getting new actuators for under $200. $tealership is waaayyyyy overpriced.

its a 2003 coupe. Did a search and only thing I found cheaper is an aftermarket actuator DIY install but it involves some fabrication of sheet metal and drilling. I'm not sure if that method is reliable...I'll keep u guys posted if i find any deals. shoots

a guy made a thread on a cheaper door actuator.. dont do it.. he said it failed later on.. my driver side had the same problem at times but now for some reason works fine after my alarm was installed.. but, they do use the same actuator like ready2play has said.. i would just buy an oem one from riverside on ebay or elsewhere and install that on your own. check out the tech or diy section..
