Before cleaning up the car today, I brought out a heat gun and a nylon spatula and made short work of the I N F I N I T I lettering on the back.

This took all of 10min from start to re-polished and waxed.

About 3 passes with Goo-Gone and the rigid nylon spatula (non-scratch!) will remove any adhesive very cleanly. I'm pretty sure it'll remove any wax too, so be sure you redo the area.

I thought I wouldn't even really see a difference, but it surprised me how much those little chrome letters broke up the smooth shape of the trunk.

Of note, the N's tend to collect small amounts of dirt in their lower corner. Unless you're cleaning it out with a toothpick each time you wash your car, it will get through the clearcoat and paint over time. So this is highly recommended to all.

Now if only they hadn't put holes in the doors to attach those little bump strips...

It also give that little signal to anyone in the know behind me that this G is loved just a little more than some, without being a large flag to the Blue Light Gang.

Still, I wish I could take that bump strip off the doors without having holes.
