AIRSOFT!!! because it is taking all of my car budget! I know this isnt an airsoft forum but i figure I'd share the reason why my car is taking so long, and i like the community.
I just picked this up today, custom made gun. lets just say with this gun i could have bought the most expensive alpine deck and maybe a double din finish.
Mk12 Mod 0 SPR AEG

and heres my older gun and lets just say that this is the more expensive of the two!
G&P WOC M4 Defender Gas Blowback

oh well, gonna have alot of fun with these babies, now i gotta save to finish up my car!

the gas gun is shooting around 450fps and the AEG is made to handle 500fps reliably but i downgraded the spring to shoot 405fps.
The limit at the field i play at is 415fps. so i over engineered the AEG so it wont break on me.
both guns are all metal with high quality polymer parts, like the magpul stock and grip.

You're spending big bucks because you shop at Epowersports Chad, their prices are outrageous. Right now I'm sticking to my reliable 430fps Scar until I make a trip back to Taiwan for some VFC goodies.

the gas gun i got from redwolf and the AEG from ePower, i priced it up online and it ended up being cheaper at epower then if i did it myself. but i agree epower can be outrageous on their prices but i actually got a good deal considering what i got in the gun. there is no gun like this on the market, there are some cheap chinese rip offs like dboys, but with this gun i started with a G&P metal body (with colt trades) then added a G&P fixed stock (so i can put a fat battery and add some weight to the back), G&P SPR grip, Metal Mk12 Mod 0 Front, 18" Metal SPR Outer Barrel, Metal SPR Flash Hider, Metal Kings Arms SPR Silencer, Metal Swan Sleeve (the RAS riser), Front and Back Metal Flip Up Sights, then the internals is what sets this gun apart from the clones, G&P 8mm Gearbox with Systema Super Torque Up Gears, Tokyo Marui EG1000 Motor, PDI 509mm 6.05mm Inner Barrel, G&P Metal Hop-Up, etc, etc... everything in the gun is upgraded if i bought a Dboys SPR then bought everything i listed, plus paying for labor, I would have wasted alot of money.

I watched couple of videos on Youtube and I got another question.
How close do you have to be to feel any kind of pain from the bb? Cuz in the video that I watched it seemed like those bbs are barely touching the players. It could be even hard to tell if you were hit or not.

you get what you pay for, I guess
super fun, we usually play from 10am to around 6pm. At 400fps on a good gun you have about 300 feet of range. Anything that hits you from that far, will just feel like somebody picked up a bb and lightly threw it at you, you'll feel it. Anything within 60 feet can leave welts, everybody usually has a full auto gun so you'll be hit by at least 3-5 bbs at a time, so you'll feel it. Minimal engagement is usually 15 feet anything closer will hurt. I usually get some bb size marks on my body after a day of gaming, but nothing major. Super fun though

its all about honesty, most people are pretty good at calling their hits, but there are a few that dont call their hits, i call them zombies, cause you keep shooting them but they never die!
thats what this is for

the patch and the m203 shells. if the bb can reach you, youll be able to feel it

I just played today at Kualoa Ranch, got shot at 50ft with a 420fps gun, but since my friend was using harder 3.0g BBs, it felt like I got shot with a paintball!
It's a great hobby, also great for cardio exercise, makes you really tired at the end of the day.

tony you should come and jam at nanakuli ranch, the next game is super bowl sunday though. I'll probably go to the one after that, its usually every two weeks. the only thing is AEGs have to be 415fps, nothing higher, bolt action rifles are 495fps. good fun though, probably the best field in the island, around 30-40 people show up.
