ok so first off, i have a mismatched Ivory Pearl paint on my lip and sideskirts... my question is, why can nobody color match these for our cars... its pissing me off. ive went to three different places (808 kustoms, js4kix, j&j autobody).. got them to redo it and still doesnt come out right. it just comes out tooo white and not enough pearl.

right now, i would love to just repaint the whole car but i dont have enough funds for that right now.. so i just want to get my lip and sideskirts matched with the body of the car (duh..)

for those of you that have kits on your IP, do you guys have the same problem? can you guys suggest a place where they can color match with the rest of your body, other than finding the color code and just paint it?

 

Is this the same color code as ppw for the Z's?? I know for the Z's it's a really hard color to match.

 

Becuase if u jus give them the color code its not goin match. Ur cars paint is old and is not goin to be the same as fresh paint in the same color. They usually have alternates to a specific color. Although fading is not common with white or black. Other than that dont go to the Hype shops, those shops are all new as well, there are some better small shops but u gotta ask around.

well, the guys i mentioned above are really cool people, but i guess i shouldve expected it from them since theyre fairly new, although it wouldve been nice if it was matched properly. im just gonna have to look around i guess, but someone told me theres a shop that uses a laser to color match with the rest of the body.. well, any other suggestions will be helpful.

 

ya what braddah said. possible for paint on car to fade over the years. try aiea collision center in pearl kai. sorry to hear u keep on having to spend bucks to get them repainted..

 

Ip is a very hard color to match to start with, but u should do next place u go is give them your gas door so they can scan it.

 

ive had it done before. they cant just simply match it like that for the best results.. you should take the whole car there and have it blended also.

 

Damn that sucks. scince I am getting a full kit hood and a trunk I am just going to get the whole car painted. I kinda want to get a darker Grey Like the IS300 and paint the roof gloss black.

 

for is300 color. we got red, silver, now all we need is someone to get the pearl white . we'll kind of have the same set up with the black roof. you getting carbon hood and trunk too????

Yeah picking up a hikkta dori cf hood inven front with cf lip cs rear with cf insert and the hikkta dori trunk with cf lip

 

damn......i guess i cant get the cs rear. i was suppose to get that wen i had my car redone but was having problems with the vendor on here so i ended up jus molding rear stock guards on........good choice for the rear though.

 

yeah thanks i like the way yours looks too I think it looks good with the nismo front.
