getting recon for a drop. just installed my coilover recently and i already got stop for recon.

 

from what i hear they dont recon coilovers or air because its adjustable and that means itd be easy to just slam it once u get recon. when I did mine I had springs only.

 

Yeah thats what i heard to but then i heard that they do so idk.

Anyone have coilover and got recon?

So when you went to get recon what did the inspectors do to check and did you tell them you had coilover? And how low is your set up?

 

Do not want to jinx anything I'm going to say.........basically got pulled over by a solobike tagged me for tint, "illegal carbon hood", and lastly being so low to the ground that he made me tow my car home......which sum up to an 1800 ticket.

So went to Als tinting got legal tint took pics with receipt

Went to recon told inspector my story. He laughed and told me u know most cops out there really don't know the recon rules.

My carbon hood was legal so that was dropped.
He looked at my car I told him I had coils....he didn't even do the bump check to see the stiffness. I took pictures of my car at recon passing recon. Cop was stupid enough to write down the measurements he got on the ticket so I got all my tickets dropped

That's tough man. When I got pulled over I was lucky enough to get let go with a warning. I heard people get rejected of the recon for not passing the bounce test. But good to heard that everything was dropped.

 

my BF has AirRunner on his Accord and he got Recon.... He said he went in slammed with his SSR rims and they didn't say anything. Some of you guys my know him... if you take notice, one pic, the safety is white and the other one is green which is this year....

Today was a good day because I passed for recon. The guy told me not to go any lower because I barely made it.
