I'm guessing they measured from his license plate

From the faq:

Is there a headlight/license plate height requirement?
Yes. Headlights must be at least 22" off the ground to the center of the headlight housings. You must have a front license plate which must be at least 12" off the ground.

For me he measured the front from the floor to the top of the license plate, mines measured at 17", and for the rear from the floor to the bottom of the license plate, mines measure at 11".

hope that helps

Thanks for the info on recon! I just made my appointment to get my alignment done on Friday and recon in August. I hope I can pass. My drive height is about the same as g(thirty-five) but on a sedan.

I changed my bulbs to 6000K - will this be ok?

Well when I went to get my recon he didn't check my lights and I'm not too sure if you need recon for that. I have a friend that does safety and he doesn't pass people that don't have oem lights. I'm gonna change my lights to 6k too so if you find out could you let me know the details

Just wanted to update you guys about tue recon stuff. I was actually passed with the top of the bumper 18 inches front and rear listed on the recon paper. Anyone pass with the bumper lower? There is a section on the recon sheet where the inspector fills in the bumper height. Just wondering if I could go any lower next time I update my papers.

O BTW, I guess top of bumper is the level of the crease where the top of the front license plate would be. Just thought this would be helpful info for any future recon attempters.

If it helps any...I have BC racing coils and set them to full soft before I got there. When the inspector did the stiffness test I swear my car hardly moved but I still passed
