All Infiniti/Nissan Club Luncheon Banquet
All Infiniti/Nissan Club Luncheon Banquet
To all G35 Owners and Guests,
There are several of us from various clubs that are putting together a luncheon banquet for the month of February 2005. This is supposed to be something like an end of the year gathering...but since we are usually all really busy till after the New Year's...we figured that February would be good. Several things are up in the air though.
1) Is anyone even interested in doing this? We assumed that maybe 100 people would be interested and attend. A deposit is going to be placed at the location to reserve the room and the date. Looking at Hale Koa Hotel due to the abundance of parking and its technically out of Waikiki. The date looks to be the 20th or 27th. If you think that you would be interested in coming, be advised, that like all banquets, the payment would be needed in advance. Please respond or post up if you would come. We will need CONFIRMED numbers VERY, VERY soon. Cost looks to be around $26 per person. This would include lunch, prizes, and the company of everyone else.
2) Is there anyone out there that can donate or contact someone to help donate things for this event? Anything that would be considered acceptable by rational standards. Sorry but your old exhaust, intakes, shocks, and the such cant be used. Good try though.
3) We need a copy of everyones pictures and/or videos. We are hoping to put together a slide show of the year in retrospec.
3) We still need help in the planning of this event. Is there anyone out there that can spare the time besides the same ole people everytime???
4) Another person will need to come forward to take care of all of the groups activities for 2005. My time has come and it is time for another to take my place. We need another person to take over. "Nominations" are open.
Anyhow, we really need to know who will come to the banquet. The head counts are VERY important and needed to make this happen. Please send in a response and commitment to attend.
Thank you-
David

You all just don't realize how much effort and planning XLR8SN (and everyone else involved in the planning of these events) puts into all these gatherings to bring people together and make things work one way or another. Its VERY sad to see that many of you do (and i'll have to include myself this time) can't even say a simple "YES, I'm Interested" or "NO, I don't care to attend".
IF you were one of those people who are planning the events and are taking time of their busy schedules (wether it be work, school or even work and school) to meet up and discuss potential venues for ANY event, gather prizes, decorations, and whatnot and see that all the people who are supposed to benefit from all this brainstorming don't give a crap of the work that you've done in your spare time, or having to squeeze it while you are at work because it needs to get taken care of, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?
Even if its not in your nature to answer people's inquiries, at least do it for consideration of whoever is involved and has VOLUNTEERED their time.

Hey, I am interested and I am always willing to help out... Its just that crazy time of the year when you can't even think about events in the new year. Well, maybe just for me.
Don't get me wrong I know everyone have things going on and I do appreciate all the effort David and everyone else is doing.
So, from me I'm sorry for not replying. And I'll say it again that I am interested.
Just let me know what I can do to help.

I feel what ShikoKaon is trying to say. I help organize 3 venues at the racetrack and I try to take time out of my schedule to see each through. It does suck when your efforts in making an event isnt appreciated. It would be hard for me to volunteer my time, I work almost 12hrs a day, and I'm at the racetrack almost every weekend, from Drifting, Time Attack, Motorcycle Races, and SCCA. With my lifestyle and schedule, it's hard to add more things to my already busy life.
If it's on the 27th, I'm not available. I have my youngest Brother and my Niece's birthday to attend to. I'm most available on the 20th if that's picked. I'll contribute whatever pictures I have.

Okay...I have asked for this to be a sticky.....its at the top of the forums....and still no one responds to this. For all those that have asked to get together or meet up...where are you??
Also to ALL of the others that are working so hard in planning this, asking all of the stores, restaurants, shops, etc., for donations, the ones making the center pieces, the ones planning the location, the videos, the slides, the invites, etc...pretty much everything........I am sorry. If this lack of response continues...we can not proceed as this will be a waste of our time, our hard work, and the communities goodwill in providing donations to this event. A simple response to all of my e-mails whether it be a simple yes or no is too difficult and takes too much time for ALL of us "busy" people. Everyone that is planning this event has jobs...has things to do....has significant others to take care of....has family to be resposible for.....had to go shopping and plan for the parties and gatherings.....and yet STILL MADE THE EFFORT TO PLAN THIS EVENT. Is asking for a simple yes or no to this event that hard to ask for??? It must be. How the heck can we plan for something that we have no idea if people are interested in or not?? People can not just walk into this event...we HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT to secure this. Using our own personal money. How can anyone plan anything without some sort of response from the invitees?? You all do respond to your own friends and family when they ask if you are coming to their house or parties right??? As a courtesy to all those working hard to plan this....why cant we get a response from all?? We are all adults right? I had sent out an e-mail in regards to this event and there has been no response.
I am disappointed in this and everyone.
Just have to vent to this..................

i replied to the email that was sent to me, but i don't mind replying here as well. i'm won't be attending. i'm scared of the parking. i can donate money, or idea's though.
Sorry, I haven't responded sooner. I have had some eye opening experences in the last month and I it made me think about my career and life over all. I have been checking my schedule and it does not look good for me. I hope it will change but as for now I will not be able to make it.
Hope to get together with everyone again....
Hope to get together with everyone again....
**As sent out to all in known e-mail listings**
To all,
We have noticed that there has been very few if any interest in having the February Luncheon. Let alone a simple reply. Please be aware that this event has to be prepaid in advance and the deposits have to be either cancelled or solidified. Many of the planning team has put up their own monies to secure this event. As a simple common courtesy, a simple/easy reply of a simple yes or no can be and should have been sent to Dawn (who originally sent the e-vites). There is really no excuse on why an answer can’t be sent to her at this point in time. Even if it was due to a work schedule, either you wanted to go and submitted a request for a day off or was not interested and choose not to attend. Either way…an answer should have been submitted. The event is scheduled for the 27th and the RSVP date is to be the 11th…that is next week Friday already. As civil as I am trying to be in this announcement, I can not hide my frustration in the lack of courtesy amongst ourselves in being able to give a simple answer of yes or no….even in this age of technology which is supposed to make communication A LOT SIMPLER and more EFFECTIVE.
Most of us are adults…and I expect that we should conduct ourselves as such assuming that we ourselves expect to have the treatment and respect that accompanies that “title” of adult. Therefore since all that we are asking for is a little common courtesy, please respond to your e-mails, if it were not important, we would not have sent them out. Events that are planned and organized are in part from requests sent in by “you” and we take time out of our lives and do this for free. Time, blood, sweat, and tears, are all done for the benefit of the group…NOT for ourselves or personal glory.
I apologize for the tone of this e-mail, yet, for all of the planning that we have done this year, and all of the requests, invites, and the such that we sent out, there were very few if any responses. It is very difficult to plan and forecast anything like this. When any and each of you are planning an outing,…a party,…a wedding,…a date,…an appointment,… ANYTHING…..all that you want in return is an answer,…..correct? Whether it be from a friend, a girlfriend or boyfriend, a husband or wife, or from a company….all that you need to make the planning, is an answer. That is all that we are asking for as well. You want the respect and courtesy of someone answering your questions, and calls,…..so do we. We need those answers to plan accordingly, make the correct orders, not to not waste our precious time and money as well.
I can not emphasize enough on the importance of communication amongst ourselves. We can not be cohesive or remotely organized without having a two way communication pathway.
Please answer your e-mails, in one way or another, so that we can at least make the correct plans and decisions for your benefit.
If you did not get an e-vite, click on the reply tab of this e-mail and send a message to peri06.
Thanks,
XLR8SN
