Redid my headlights
Check this out. Just today I realized that whoever broke my mirror actually tossed it in top of my hood! You can see the smudge it left on it.
I really wish that whoever did this had the ***** to tell me to my face wtf is his/her problem with me.

RedPearl, yea it definitely looks like your heat coating has already fallen apart, you can see the hazy part is the heat coat and the clear sections are rubbed off and are the actual plastic lens...
even if you manage to rub the heat coating off completely and have the lens fully clear, it will be a short time before the heat from the projectors just scorches the inside of the lens starts turning it yellowish.... heat coating is there for a reason, i just hate how it's so sensitive... but then again Nissan wasnt planning on anybody opening up their headlights and tinkering with them anyway

yea i;ve done that swap before, and it is probably like a 95% perfect fit...
the one spot where it won't be a perfect fit is around the upper portion, you'll see once you put them on, so it's important that you seal it with extra silicone all around especially that area

I just took apart the headlights and it's not as bad as it seems. Most of the scratches are actually on the outside of the lens and you can only see them if you shine bright light at them from a specific angle
I actually used a cotton puff ball and some rubbing alcohol to clean some dust on the inside of the lens and it did a great job. The cotton ball was too soft to scratch anything and the alcohol evaporated on the touch

Lol don't even think about it. It will turn into a nightmare. Just live with the imperfections because you will regret buffing the inside lens when the coating breaks apart and the lens crack under the sun.
