From what I heard, as long as you have the license plate facing the front (the dash board), then you're fine. Just keep it in your car, easily accessable if you get pulled over and be able to put it on your dash board before the cop gets to your window. (Be careful of sudden moves though as the cop may think you're packing or something) If you are planning on putting license plate covers, then put them on now, that way the temp plate will not deteriorate as fast. There is no temp plate for the front. I wish my G didn't have the frame, but all the 30 something G's they had on the lot all had the frame. Anyhow, drive safe.

Uhmmmmm....not to cut in on someone elses dance....but, I dont think that you are allowed to place the license plate in the front window. It is not in the specified mounting location.....and I also believe that it now also becomes a destruction of visibility. ***LOL*** Its really late and I cant think straight...I meant OBstruction of visibility....damn not DEStruction.

Best bet is to get the mounting brackets from Stillen...StrictlyZ...or where ever else that makes that mounting.

Above is the link to the cheap DIY someone wrote a while ago for the binder clip front license plate holder. My license plate has been attached like this for approximately 2 months with no problems.

As for running your plates on your dashboard... thats asking for a no front license plate ticket. In my previous car I had my license plate on the dashboard until I got a ticket for not having it on the front. That was the only reason why the cop pulled me over.

Thanks for the correction, I never got caught without a front plate so I wouldn't know, but it was from what I heard from a cop. I guess it depends on if they had a bad day or something. Thanks again.

a cop told you that? should've gotten his name & badge # (if you got ticketed you could reference that cop). aside from the illegality of having no front plates and the visibility issue, that putting the plates on your dash would scratch it.

as far as binder clips, i'd be afraid that the clip would pop up from excessive wind or if you "tap" something in the front. but yeah $.50's pretty cheap!
