Before the topics get blurred and really jacked up.....can't we just stay on topic and leave the rubbish at home? Granted everyone has their opinions, but at this point it is getting a little out of hand here I think.

I know 636racer and there are points that we have discussed off forum that makes sense and I agree with you on them. James731, I dont know you and thus I won't/can't say jack about you. Farid, yes I know him as well. There may have been issues surrounding him from other people and I truly feel bad for them. However, in all of my dealings with him, there has never been any problems, and he has helped me out in numerous instances as well.

I am sure that we can all respect each others thoughts even if we dont agree with them and still not have to get truly personal about it. If this forum is supposed to be here to provide information to other fellow G35 drivers, then let it be that way versus an open forum to start wars and bashing each other. Can that be agreed upon??

Need a nap break already.

No biggie. No one is ever going to agree with everyone....still though...we are supposed to be ONE G35 community. Lets try shall we?

sell out! , nah nah nah. last year I was checking out the new M3, nice car...gobs of power, understeered like a biatch! Handled rather well, considering. And like the G35, the **** will sneak up from behind you and spin you out. the G35 vs M3?...the G35 is much more tame, predictable; moreso with R-compound tires...just lacking power when it comes to the M3.

I need a 4WD/AWD when the winter hits Ohio this year as I don't want to jeopardize my G sliding into a snowy ditch. FYI, I leave this Saturday night out of Kona for good. My G should be at my house in Ohio next week. woohoo! country roads with no fuzz......then G will be hibernated in the garage when the snowfall hits post-Thanksgiving.

anyway, back to the topic. I plan on leasing an X3 this winter from BMW of Columbus......$3000 down and $299/month for 36 months. Better deal than the ad I saw in the Advertiser from BMW Honolulu. Pretty good huh?

That's pretty good... Especially when alot of the low - mid level sedans get around the same rate. is that 12k miles a year?

Hey Doc, why not get an FX35 AWD? I got to drive one 'round the twisties and all I gotta say is ain't no SUV in that price range handles like that. X3s are nice but I heard they have some serious electrical issues. Plus that unpainted plastic f&r bumpers don't help w/ the cheapo factor. 2 of my co-workers have '05 X3 2.5i's & they love 'em; but probably to soon to tell. If you need AWD & don't want to give up the sportiness, you could get a G35x but that might be overkill. Or get an '06 RX 400h & a $2k tax credit! (exp. 12/31/05)
(FYI: I'm not an Infiniti nut - as fun as the FXs are to drive, they still have a cheapo interior IMO.)

SEN JEN...

Whenever you're ready for that Bimmer, braddah...hit me up! I guarantee that I'll get you a better deal from here in Southern CA, even considering shipping, than BMW of Honolulu.

Man, I'm torn now...I drive & love my Nissan/Infiniti products, but slangin Bimmers! Nah, they all have their Pluses & Minuses, I guess...

Aloha to all you guys in Da 808 HI State!!!

^-^

I was thinking about buying a bmw while I was deployed. It was AAFES car sales or some other guys that were offering BMWs at invoice, plus it would be waiting for you at home. But NAH, wanted the G too much.

BTW back to the thread topic

Saw a Slammmed BS coupe and an OB coupe w/gailla type grill on ward today.
I was in beetween them in my WRX today

Own a '99 325i bimmer before , WILL NOT ever go back to it. Was a waste of money. Better off w/ a E-class Benz /Audi A8/or a Lexus.
