yup, falken dot-r compound tires are the ones to get. you get better control with stickier tires. the car is much more predictable. right now i'm using a set of dunlop dot-r compounds for track duty. i bought rims and tires from a local member here, i'm just wearing them down then I'll get a set of falken dot-r tires.
stay away from using using old underated tires. they just break apart faster. just ask any of the group-a drifters at DS, you can spend chump change on junk tires but you wont have the control and fun factors of being on good tires. it applies to road racing too.
