hey, what part of SD do you live in? i went up there during the summer for work - stayed in Mira Mesa and worked out of Poway - super nice there.

i life about 10 min south of mira mesa, right off of friars. and yes, it is nice (not cuz of the girls or anything!).....shhhh, don' tell

 

i heard from david that you were gonna be in town, just didn't know when. how long are you gonna be in LA for? i might be headed up there this weekend (gardena) to pick up a "present" for my car (tee hee).

George is one of the old time guys from the original group. He was the first to get his twin turbo'd. Had a PE kit. Moved to Cali for a better job opportunity.

Nick was also stationed here for a little while. Went crusing and running around 13 turns, Norfolk, Hawaii Loa Ridge, and Tantalus when we used to go driving more often late at night.

Herb was also one of the old time guys. Took all of the pictures and made the fliers and stuff for events and promotions. Had a sedan and later "upgraded" to a coupe.

SCCA on November 13. Newbies run in heat 3. Be there before 11:30 AM for registration and orientation. Helmets available for like $1.00 or something like that....maybe was free with ID. Several G's will be there running.

anyway, as far as the scca thing, spring the extra $10 or $20 to get the timer. not only will it allow you to improve your time on a per lap basis, but they'll actually record your time so you could actually move into the more "advanced" heats.

 

hey everyone,

i had my car tt and i do miss the car, it dynoed at 420 at the wheels, it was alot of fun. i miss the days of tantalus, norfolks, etc., but the freeways up here are alot more fun, i was able to hit the speed limiter and hold it for about 20 mins =P .. gosh i miss those days, but soo nenough i will be able to do it again. sold it a few months ago and picked up a gs300 and building a project car.

dave - i'll be back in hawaii in december for christmas and new years. i'll see the old school group in a few months, i want my shrimp truck and ZIPPYs

nick - i now reside in LA but in SF for a client and will be here till the end of October.
