Okay... I've finally decided to change my own oil.. even though I have the free oil change/tire rotate booklet... Question is how much quarts of oil does the G take...

5 quarts. Get 6 though. Tendency is that there will be a slight drop in oil levels after a little while. Will need to add in maybe a 1/4 more later.

^ is that for '03 models only? i've never had such a problem. nevermind! there were oil problems in '03 - '04's!!

jdb, you mentioned to me before iShowoff that you changed your own oil. har, har, you're full of s.hit!!! like XLR8SN mentioned, you should get extra in your case because of the BOOST. also, switch over to synthetic already.

I dont know if it was a "consistant" issue. Some cars had it, some didnt. Out of the group I hang in...I think that I am the only one having the issue...but then again, I am in the only 03 one as well. Go figure. I think that there were a lot of different factors that might affect it. Mostly during break in. Next engine I get I am going to do the bike way of breaking it in.

^... Sen... yeah... I know I did mention that I did change my own oil...but when I did... it was only once... just that i wanted to really make sure that it was 5 quarts... Since i started using Mobil 1... which makes it my 2nd time changing the oil... I finally stopped with that Walmart Special... $9.00 Castrol Oil...
