amp wiring

got a few days off, so i'm probably gonna put my sub in. Just wanted to know where everyone with amps runs the battery cable. I didn't have much time last night, so I took a quick glance, but couldn't find a good enough opening to run the battery cable into the firewall. Where is everyone else running theirs? any help greatly appreciated...thanks!

I know the place but can't really explain... ummm... when you look in the driver's side brake compartment thing... there's like this rubber piece that has a rubber/metal line coming out of it... you have to pull that piece off and you'll see the hole to get through... dang... I suck at giving directions...

glad to hear that you got your wires run!

i ran the power cable on the passenger side of the car.....the same side as the battery.....there is a rubber boot where the main wire loom goes through the fire wall....cut a hole and run your power cable through and into the car.....being careful not to cut the existing wires and dont cut the hole too big either...i used silicone to seal up the hole after i was done(it needs to be water tight!)....the HU signal and speaker wires are run down the drivers side of the car so the best side to run your power is the opposite side or the passenger side of the car to avoid adding uneccessary noise in your system

Thats exactly what I did. Very easy, just make sure you reseal it afterwards. Black silicone RTV works well for resealing it.
