For those interested in buying MD plenum spacers...*link fixed*

or anything from partshippers.com. I got this from a friend in the 350z community. dunno if its a repost but here you go:

hey guys, I'm looking at getting a motordyne 5/16 iso thermal spacer for my Z for xmas. shhh...don't tell her. anyhow, the distributor I'm talking to (partsshipperdave of parts shipper) is giving me a bit of a discount (right now the spacers are all 8% off, but he's giving me an extra 2% off) and is willing to ship via fedex from motordyne in CA (usually they only use UPS and UPS shipping rates to HI suck). I'm wondering if anyone else is interested in taking advantage of this. plz research it and check it out before you decide and if you have any questions feel free to ask me or PM dave directly. Plz also feel free to tell your fellow Z owners in hawaii or 350z hawaii club members who don't have internet. you can check out the spacers and buy them via the parts shipper website at:

http://www.partshippers.com/index.ph...motordyne+350Z

here is his last email to me along w/ the coupon code you'll need to enter to get the discount.

Hey Toby,

We will be happy to honor the discount to whomever in your club is interested in buying the Motordyne products. Feel free to pass along this coupon code to them.

Here's the code:

d275c5aa22

During checkout, on the 2nd order confirmation page, you will see a field called "Redemption Code". Copy and paste the code above into that field. On the next page, you will see the 2% discount applied to your total order before entering payment info.

I'll keep an eye out for your order.

Thanks,
Dave

the coupon code ends at the end of this month and in regards to the shipping, the website doesn't offer any option other than UPS, so if you want the item shipped via Fedex (and yes fedex should be cheaper), then in the comments field of your order, type in the words "350z Hawaii". that will allow dave to identify your order as part of this deal, and he will make sure that the refund difference for the shipping will be credit back to your credit card. enjoy and I hope some of you are able to take advantage of this.

Too bad it sounds like the discount is just for the spacer... I was kinda hoping for the full MREV kit to be on sale.

Just an FYI, Shipping off the Motordyne site is $14 (excluding MREV) for the plenum spacer and iso thermal kit with a 8% discount off their msrp. 2% more helps a little.

turns out it would've cost less if I had bought direct from Motordyne...
I bought the 5/16" Iso Thermal plenum spacer (w/o the Throttle Body Heater) from partshippers and here is the breakdown:

$265.00 normal price
- 21.20 December discount
- 4.88 group 2% discount
+ 23.56 shipping
$262.48 Grand Total

I got an e-mail from Dave @ partshippers saying "We were hoping that shipping it via Fed Ex to you would be cheaper, but since they only had the 2 day air option to Hawaii, we actually had to pay a little more for it."

Motordyne costs:
$265.00 normal price
- 21.20 December discount
+ 13.95 shipping
$257.75 Grand Total

save a whopping $4.73 which means a lot to chang brahdahs like me!

Well, I have had my vehicle in for sevice with it on and no one noticed. I have the original 3/8 spacer and the cover did fit.

It will only void the warranty if they can prove that the mod is a direct cause of the item being warranted.

If you make a seach there is several post on a law that covers this. Sorry I can;'t think of ot right now.

i don't think it matters at all if they notice the part on there. they can't do anything about it because it shouldnt be causing your car to function improperly. if your car breaks, then they notice it, that is a different story. i am not sure if they log down mods for future reference though. if they do, then once you put it on,hope nothing goes wrong.

so mostly everyone is getting the 5/16" spacer just because of the engine cover problem w/ the 1/2".
