It's when you are born on the mainland, but your roots are in the islands. Like when I see all the people here in California trying to be like they are from Hawaii, and when I ask them where are they from they say Los Angeles. I say you are not from Hawaii, and they say their parents are from Hawaii or some other relative. I heard that word a lot growing up in the islands. I am not one, but my wife is a katonk.

i didn't catch last nights episode, but can you use the term/word in a sentence?? i may be able to help.

OH SHYT, ON THE NEW DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER 2NIGHT THERE WAS A RED G 35 WITH BLACK RIMS & A GIRL WAS DRIVING...WELL ABOUT 2 UNTIL THEY PULLED HER OUT OF IT
