Arrow Spy in G35Driver.com who have question about HKS exhaust

Thank you very much for SWAT311, Alan, andy2434, glennp_1999,badtziscool, and others for actually sharing information about this.

For those of you who did not share any information but flamming, you shouldn't drive G35 and join in this forum. The reason is simple because G35s and G35driver.com are not for low to none educated people...
You aren't driving 89' Honda Civic DX with a can chinese made muffler, so please don't act like you are driving one. This forum and others are informative sources, so please use them in a useful way.

Have a nice day!!!

The purpose is to help keep the sound with in 'legal' limits.

Do a search on here, it's been discussed before.

i believe it eliminates drone and keeps the exhaust within the legal sound limit. you cant even see the canisters once its installed unless you get UNDER the car, so its definetly not just for show.

The 2 canisters in question are resonators to keep the sound at a legal 95 decibal level.

Is it a resonator or glasspack? Now, what's the functional purpose of having that?

Please help us to clear it up because we're killing each other right now (lol) because some said "It's a ricer purpose" and some said "It's noise controlation".

Thank you very much

Resonators don't necessarily have to be open ended on both sides. Purpose of a muffler is to control the expanding gases from the engine. If you let the exhaust expand first inside of a container and then let it diffuse out, you effectively reduce the "noise" the expanding gases create. So the larger the volume, the more the gas can expand to atmospheric pressure and create less noise. The little canisters effectively increases the volume of the muffler and thus controls the noise more effectively.

HKS exhaust for our cars reminds me of the Mugen exhaust for Honda's... But ours is X1000000 times sexier
