OEM air filter?
I bought a "genuine" air filter from drivewire.com, but it looks bootleg. This product doesn't look very trustworthy. Do you guys think I should return it?
Here's how it looks like on their website. http://www.drivewire.com/infinitiparts/catalog/infinitig35airfilter.html
They made it sound like it would be an oem one since it's "genuine." I thought the air filter would be from nissan since it was around the same price as the one on http://www.grubbsperformance.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=16546-V0100&Category_Code=
I know it looks different, but I thought the one from drivewire.com is from japan. Here are some pics of the bootleg box and the actual filter itself.

I'm pretty sure its safe to say thats not the box that the filter would typically come in because it would say nissan all over it. If I were you, I'd send it back and ask for a refund.

I also bought an in-cabin filter from them. Although it says nissan on the in-cabin filter, this air filter makes me question if it is even oem.
I'm leaning towards returning it. It's probably not worth the risk to put in this cheap looking air filter. any more input?

I replaced my air filter with K&N. It was freaking $45 but, people told me they last forever. So, F it. That and even though my car has less tehn 75K miles on it. I changed the plugs too. KNG (OEM), should last me longer then I own the car.
Also is it hard to change that air cleaner (in the glove area)?
