Even if unlikely, is it possible to get hydrolock from the stock air filter?

I know you would have to submerge it, etc. etc., but is it possible to get hydrolock from the stock filter even though it has a bypass valve?

Yes, you could hydrolock the stock intake, but that would be the least of your worries. To hydrolock with the stock intake, you would pretty much have to submerge the entire bottom 2/3 of the car (think New Orleans come flood). It sucks you put on an intake that serves no real purpose and destroyed your engine, but that's reality and there is no way the dealer will believe you did it with the stock intake.

lol even then i dont see how a vented hood would cause rain water to enter the inlet of the stock intake.. (at least i've never seen a vent there before)
also even with the by-pass valve.. you can only old off so much water.. if u drive into a flood ur fcked lol

when i used to live in houston, i was always worried when it was raining with my CAI. but here in cali isnt too bad... but its is possible to hydrolock, just highly unlikely on "normal weather" conditions... speaking of which, my friend had an AEM CAI in his 350z, he sucked up some water, but it didnt hydrolock his car, but rather took out his MAF sensor.
