Amsoil offers an air filter replacement comprised of their new nano-filter media...advantage it is permanent, washable, but no oil is used.
Part number EAA74.

AEM Power makes a similar filter (permanent, no oil) but not for replacing the stock element. Only cone filters for their performance intake kits.

I don't know myself how good these new filters really are... .I never cared for the old Amsoil oil-foam filters, build quality was not too good.

I have not done a factory stock number check against the Amsoil filter, but that info is available on the website.

 

got mine last week and put it in yesterday. kind of a b!tch to get it in there, but hopefully it'll out perform the stock one.

 

Apparently AEM makes similar ones now, but not yet in panel sizes. Only various cone sizes (to compete with K&N I imagine). AEM uses synthetic fibers and no oil. Just occassional cleaning.
They have a lot of data sheets on their website showing comparisons with other filter media. I think this technology may catch on, and make paper and oiling filters a thing of the past.
