I was going to wait until sunday to install it, but i got home from work yesterday and had nothing to do. So up went the car on all fours and on went the Invidia.

Sounds soooooooooo sweet! I heard it on a 350Z last thursday at a meet and i couldn't stop thinking about it, so now a week later, i have it on my car. hehehe.

No drone inside the car at all. and when you're crusing, you can barely hear it. but when you give it gas, you can hear it roar up. Very nice low pitched sound to it.

sorry no full pictures of it outside in the morning yet. took me a lil under three hours last night. maybe later after the car is washed.

Love the look of the g200. Those pipes look friggn' small though... What's the diameter sizing? 2.5?

Yume,
I've had my G200 for over a year. The only down side is the loss of some low end torque. Here's my dyno's https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...highlight=G200
My 5AT started to hold the shifts longer after I had the exhaust installed. 3 months ago I had an H-pipe added, it helped a little.

Imandresing22,
When I added the Stillen Cold Air Box, the exhaust really got loud. I can only imagine the test pipes.

Down_Shift,
I measured mine 50mm (1.97"), a couple of websites say 60mm.
I've had mine for over a year

whaat 2"?!?!?!? That's prob the only downside I have on that exhaust, sizing really messed up the perfection of the exhaust. That's one hot looking exhaust and it does sound sweet.

Wow! Thats sexy! If you like the sound now... give it a couple weeks for the muffler to break in, and you'll REALLY love it! I'm guessing you dont need my jack stands anymore Now you have to try and build the motor to try and make up for the lost low end torque.

uh.... whats wrong with the sizing? I hope you dont think thats too small. Its a true dual exhaust setup on a 290hp V6. If you looked at G35StrongMan's dyno, its obviously more than enough air flow for our cars! Increases dont even kick in untill 5000rpm, everything before that is a loss. Looking at the dyno... I'm almost thinking that theres TOO MUCH air flow, and that this exhaust can only be fully taken advantage of is with a turbo, m45, or titan motor swap. Bigger isnt always better. Theres a science behind it all

imandresing22,

I'm kinda afraid to hear those test pipes, since i don't want it really really loud. but it does sound tempting. Do you get any drone with test pipes?

Down_Shift,

Yea the pipes are smaller than the stock. i was surprised at first, but then i remembered it was a true dual set up and what silverbolt said below makes sense.

G35Strongman,

Thanks for the dyno chart. i was wondering if this exhuast made any performance gains or loss. I wasn't really expecting anything when i drove it around, but when i did, i didn't feel any loss of low-end torque. it actually felt like it picked up a little faster from a start. maybe it was just the new exhuast note that made me THINK my car goes faster. hahaha.

i saw your thread about adding the h-pipe, would that make any difference on a manual? or is it to just help your auto to hold the shift longer?

Silverbolt,

Nah, i don't need your jackstands anymore. couldn't wait to do it, plus i was bored yesterday after work, so i stopped by pep boys and bought a jack and four stands.

I can't wait to hear what it sounds like when its broken in. wait until the meet on thursday, so you can hear it.
I'll have to try that reset when i get home.

Thanks everyone for the compliments!

Looks like you had plenty of room with your jackstands set that high.

You should feel the most difference on the freeway at higher speeds... especially when it picks up when you downshift

hahaha. Yea. that's the best way to work under the car. at first i had only the rear jacked up and started unbolting things. but when i got to the mid pipe. i had no leverage, so i had to put the front on stands too.
