anyhow, I'll lurk around some more and try to see what the general consensus is from those with this mod. It seems as though it's one of the first things people do, until they realized they should've gone another route, like a CAI
Again... in theory... a CAI isnt as effective as a short ram intake with an efficient heat shield and good engine bay airflow. The engine bay air flow for the G35s are VERY GOOD! That, with a heatsheild like the popcharger and especially the Stillen intake make the most difference. With these high quality short ram setups, you should have a quicker throttle response over the long tubing of the cold air induction style intakes. They'll also provide efficient heat sheilding, combined with the OEM intake "snorkel" and the excellent design Nissan did to create good air flow into the engine... with all of this, sucking up hot air only happens when the car is sitting still.

OH WOW!!! I just read his mod list! How the heck did he get HIDs into his interior lighting! Wouldnt that be kinda bright? jk jk

Xenon is a gas thats comonly used in photographic flashes, called Xenon Flash Lamps... and in H.I.D. lights (High Intensity Discharge) lamps, which is what are headlights are

Alot of automotive aftermarket companies use the word "Xenon" very loosely in order to hype up and sell their products. They often sell regular halogen gas bulbs with a blue colored glass and call them "Xenon lights", which is misleading and false advertising. Halogen gas bulbs are very different from Xenon gas bulbs.

yeh i know theyre not xenons which is why i put it in quotes. i simply use leds for everything other than my headlights.

and yes, dont be fooled. companies often market their products as HID H4 bulbs which doesnt even make sense..same goes for the word xenon..

i love how we shifted this thread from a ztube topic (or something..i forgot actually lol) to lighting..haha

nah I didn't change the glove box, recently I swapped out the trunk light to an LED so now I'm changing over all the interior lights to it. It's f'in bright!

what are the dome light numbers? are they 6 led or 8 led?

I'm going to look at the Stillen/POP Charger combo.

I got the 9led ones, and I love them! The color is great, and they're nice and bright! The top two on that page are new, I've never seen them untill today. You can be one of the first to try them out

What flasher did you guys get to change the turn signal from blinking at hyper speeds due to the load?

I was looking here.. http://autolumination.com/equalizers.htm

Also regarding the intake, I think I'm going to go with the pop charger/stillen combination. I want to see more pictures of this setup so I can understand what is being removed and what will stay.
Anyone have any pics of their setup they can post?

I have no idea what you're talking about :/ I just bought the LED bulb, and stuck it in lol They're already converted to run at 12v. Oh, and heres something to keep in mind. These LED bulbs are 12v, our cars actually run at about 13.5v... (I think thats what it is). So the LED bulbs are actually being over powered. Thats why they start blinking and die prematurely.

How do you replace lights in the interior? Like how do you disassemble the lights to change the bulb such as the main interior lights on the roof?

just get a small flat head screwdriver and use a towel or napkin to cover it as you pry it out. The lenses will snap back into place. Fairly simple.

Silverbolt, the funny thing is I did purchase a lamp that works with 12v from hong kong but it causes the blinkers to blink faster due to the load resistance. I was hoping it would be a plug and play.

Did you change your reverse lights? I can't figure out how to get to teh back of them unless I take off the taillight.

oh yeah so I'm going with a polished z-tube and K & N drop in filter. With everything I've read Im only going to do this for the sound and if I get any HP gains so be it. Heat soak shouldn't be an issue for me hopefully... if it is then a Popcharger is in order.
