I still have have my new NISMO Y-pipe that I never installed. There is a huge difference over stock, in terms of consistent diameter and smooth curves. It certainly looks like it would add a great sound/tone to my set-up.
The only reason I didn't install it is because I was reading that it might cause too much TQ loss with my current combo (headers, cats, OEM rear-section). So now it sits in my garage, all wrapped up, along with the Dr. Gasket reducer-cone that I was going to splice into the OEM rear-section after the Y.
At this point, I don't know that I'll ever decide to install it to see if there is actually a significant loss or not. I don't plan on doing anything else to the car... ...but I think about it every time I see it.
