Exhaust question. need your input (G35 coupe

Right now I’m in the middle of an exhaust dilemma, and need input from my fellow G35 coupe colleagues.

I’m not sure which exhaust to choose… I’m having a hard time choosing
I’m looking for a true dual system, FULL exhaust system. Any known cons or pros for any?

Thanks.

Budget is one thing - but with time that can be overcome. Never rush into a decision, as you'll end buying several systems and wasting money. You have to hear these exhausts and ride in cars to make your decision properly. Sound clips help to guide you.

Listen - I represent the Fast Intentions Intimidator system - and I'm not selling you here, though the system is hot!!! You have to know what kind of sound you want, whether you want to retain as much of the stock sound as possible but get louder and meaner, or change it the sound completely and get super loud and ricey, etc, or be really quiet as well.

After those decisions are made, you have to figure out if your buying as exhaust for power, looks, or JUST sound. then see how much that combination costs. then begin making a decision based on what you hear and what is available and what you get for your money in quality of product and workmanship and above all service and support.

If you want something that compliments the stock sound get the Stillen TD. If you want something that sounds mean get the HKS.

Here's a link to a site that has sound clips most of the top notch exhaust systems. It's a good start!

i just had the Stillen TD installed this afternoon. It sounds sooooooo much better than stock. I was surprised how mellow it is on the highway, quiet until you get on it. Sounds similar to the stock at high revs, but low down its a much deeper tone. My coupe finally sounds the way it should have.......

Are you talking about the new one with titanium tips or the SES?

Mine has the SS dual wall tips. They had a choice of angled single walls or the straigt cut duals. The duals fit the opening in the bumper better. They look similar to the stock, but different enough for people to notice.

I doubt there was much of a performance gain, although the rears break loose and the slip light comes on more than before.

The only downside is my mileage seems to be getting worse. Maybe i have to stop revving the heck out of my engine.....

+1 I agree Stillen sounds good, but the HKS is just all out. I have the HKS and believe me it sounds mean. If you plan on going FI then get TD for sure.

Ive got the Fast Intentions Intimidator exhaust and I'm more than happy with everything. It's a little bit deeper than stock while cruising around to where I can barely notice it until I really get on it and then it gets really mean.
