Dave, I PMed the guy a while back and asked him about his dyno, and he said that what the dyno didn't show was that with his other mods, the stillen changed his A/F to 15+. What i have read a lot is that tuning the vq is a matter of getting the right combo of mods, rather than getting the most mods. his combo wasn't working at the time. Its not conclusive whether the stillen adds power, but you can't conclude from that dude's dyno that it doesn't.

btw, I don't disagree with you on a fundamental level, i think the only thing that matters is if it makes power. i'm not gonna part with my money for noise, looks or asthetics. And even if I am, I'd like to know the truth about power. That is what this subforum is about. Ther's another subforum for exterior/looks.

DONT DO IT. 2 words ... HEAT SOAK. trust. been through so many intakes with this car. all worthless. stick with the K&N filter.

 

Intakes with a heatshield that works do not have heatsoak. Stillen CAI has a good heatshield. Stock. JWT is not really a heatshield. lol it only covers half the filter.

 

still, nothin beats the stock box. the stillen is nice, but doesnt cover the entire filter very well. you can do a custom job like some have to wrap it up, but its a PITA.
