Crawford people - question?

To all you folks who installed (and love) your Crawford Plenums, what have you done about the engine cover not fitting back on?

I've seen a post which said the cover now hits the hood - is this common? I also read awhile ago about someone who modified the cover to fit better. I'm sure others just leave it off.

I'm wondering what the majority of y'all are doing. Thanks.

I left it off even way before I put the plenum on. I think I left it off after the first time I took it off when I installed my ztube + stillen box.

Yes, my cover hits the insulation thats on the hood, not hood itself. The insulation has give, so not a problem. IMO, I like the look of the engine cover. The gap between the oil filler and the cover, is not enough for me to spend energy on to close. I like the look, and I LOVE the plennum.

I've got very minor rubbing in the area behind the oil filler cap. As soon as I get the 4" black tubing to fill the gap at the oil filler area, it will be stealth.
Love the Plenum. Good performance pick-up.

Yes, a few people have installed the 350Z engine cover. Somebody on this forum had photos, but can't remember which thread. I think I did a search on Crawford and ended up finding it as I fumbled through.
